Getting Started

NetStability helps you understand your network's long-term stability through trend analysis. Here's how to get started:

Frequently Asked Questions

How does NetStability measure network stability?

The app periodically sends lightweight HTTP requests to Apple's public connectivity endpoints and measures the response time. It also monitors network path changes using Apple's Network.framework. These measurements are combined into a stability score.

Does the app drain my battery?

No. The app only performs measurements at the configured interval (default: every 30 seconds) and only while monitoring is actively running. It does not run in the background.

Is my data sent to any server?

No. All data is stored and processed entirely on your device. Nothing is ever transmitted to external servers. You can verify this in our Privacy Policy.

How do I delete my data?

Go to Settings โ†’ "Clear All Data" to permanently remove all stored monitoring records and events. You can also set a shorter data retention period to automatically clean up older data.

What does the stability score mean?

The stability score (0โ€“100%) combines two factors: connectivity uptime (70% weight) and latency consistency (30% weight). A higher score means your network was more reliably connected with consistent response times.

Why is my Stability Trend chart empty?

The app needs at least a few data points to render a trend chart. Make sure monitoring is running and wait for a few measurement cycles. Charts populate as data accumulates over time.

What is the "Fluctuation Level"?

Fluctuation level indicates how much your latency varies. "Low" means consistent latency (good for real-time activities), "Medium" means some variation, and "High" means significant latency swings.
